Work Experience
Internships
Growth Marketing Intern - TheGuarantors - New York City
During my time here, I had the opportunity to write and edit several feature stories about landlord, broker, and tenant relationships as well as build out the Employee Highlight Series. One of my core responsibilities was to organize one of the largest trade shows the company participates in hosted by the National Apartment Association. On a more analytical level, I analyzed our newsletter data utilizing HubSpot to gather insights to share with the team as well as make necessary changes to email campaigns to increase CTR.
Regional Marketing Intern - BDO, USA - Chicago
For the summer of 2019, I didn't want to stay in my home state of New Jersey and was ready to submerge myself in city life. BDO gave me the opportunity I needed and I moved to Chicago! As the #6 public accounting firm in the world, this was a great environment to learn and be apart of a corporate setting. I had the pleasure of working on several projects during my time here including, exporting demographic data from social platforms to better understand our audience, translated data from reports to understand sub-categories to monetize our ROI, and performed research techniques to generate leads for the BD team!
Public Relations Intern - VJR Enterprises - New Brunswick
During my internship, I had the opportunity to work with Airtable to organize newsletter and social media content that I had created. I was able to write purposeful content that was shared with the thousands of newsletter subscribers. I created an average of 21 posts per week for the social media channels and was actively engaging with consumers on almost every post. Towards the end of the internship, I began to conduct market research to evaluate competitors allowing VJR to strategically enter new markets.
Technical Writer Intern - Grignard Company - Rahway
For my first big girl internship, this was a truly memorable experience. Grignard is a chemical manufacturing company that I was introduced to at the Rutgers - Newark career fair. I had never heard of a technical writer but I was determined to find out what it was all about. I learned what detailed writing entails and how much credit we should give the people who write great directions. During my time here, I created roughly 20 standard operating procedures, assisted with market research for new market segments, and audited over 50 document control plans to ensure accuracy and mitigate errors.
Retail & Sales
Pharmacy Technician - Levy's Pharmacy - Lyndhurst
When I turned 16, my mom told me that I couldn't come home until I found a job. Luckily, the independent pharmacy around the block from my house was hiring clerks. I began simply answering phones and ringing customers up at the register, but it wasn't long that I had started taking on more responsibilities. Before I knew it, I was consulting customers about durable medical equipment, prescription functions, and over the counter products. I eventually worked my way up the totem pole and became a pharmacy technician which inspired me to pursue medical school (this didn't last long). Levy's has been my longest employer as I had worked here for 6 years. I have learned a great deal here including true attention to detail, time management, and superb customer service.
Retail Sales Associate - BCBG - Short Hills
Hired as a seasonal associate at the Willowbrook Mall, my ability to connect with dozens of customers per shift, cross-selling products, and consistently meeting my weekly sales goal, I was offered to come on as a part-time employee at their Short Hills location. I have an eye for increasing customer engagement with products so I frequently rearrange less popular products to maximize touchpoints which ultimately increase my daily sales.
Sales Associate - Milk House Farm Market - Newtown
During the summer of 2017, I was looking for a job where I could enjoy the outdoors and learn something new. I worked at Milk House Farm Market for three months as a sales associate in the market. In addition to strategically organizing produce to increase product sales, cross-selling items to customers based on preference, and creating, managing and posting social media posts on several different platforms, I sold about $3,000 worth of organic frozen chicken (the most anyone has sold in a single summer) and memorized over 63 varieties of heirloom tomatoes! I learned how to clean fresh farm eggs (I would clean about 800 eggs every shift), how to determine the freshness of produce, and how to build the most beautiful flower bouquets!
